Google has removed the public version of its URL submission tool!
This previously easy tool used to allow users to submit any page to Google’s index. In fact, you were allowed to submit up to 10 a day. Well, Google always likes to keep things interesting for us web geeks, so they changed the rules again.
Now, In order to submit your URL to Google, you must use Search Console’s Fetch & Submit tool. Alternatively, site owners can notify Google about new pages with a sitemap file.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
IT MEANS YOU GOTTA KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT A THING OR TWO!
Now, to submit a URL to you have to go to Google Webmasters Tools to add your website as a new property. Then, submit a site map and “fetch & render” (which if you have a website, your website should already be on here!) https://www.google.com/webmasters/
Note that “re-crawling” is not immediate or guaranteed. It also takes several days for a successful request to be granted.
